    Tota Roy Chowdhury spoke highly about Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and called them ‘perfect co-stars.’ The actor has been nominated at the 2024 IIFA Awards for his role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

    The 2024 IIFA Awards have kickstarted in Abu Dhabi. Among the many celebrities who will be attending the prestigious award show is Tota Roy Chowdhury. The acclaimed Bengali actor won hearts last year with his performance as Chandon Chatterjee in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. In an exclusive conversation with News18, the actor talked about his upcoming projects and his co-stars – Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

    Speaking exclusively to News18 at the 2024 IIFA Awards, Tota Roy Chowdhury spoke highly about Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt with whom he shared the screen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. When asked to describe them in one word, he said, “Perfect co-stars. You can’t get better than that. They bring their aura but they check their ego at the gate.”

    The actor also mentioned that he was looking forward to meeting Karan Johar at IIFA 2024. In the same conversation, he gave his fans a hint about his upcoming project. The actor mentioned that he has several projects lined up and his fans can definitely catch him in Bollywood and web series next year. He said, “I’m not supposed to talk about the film. But I am working in Diler with Kunal Deshmukh, and a couple of web series – Special Ops 2 with Neeraj Pandey, and Black Warrant with Mr Vikramaditya Motwane.”

    He also spoke about the future of pan-Indian films and the fizzling out of the language barrier in cinema. He said, “It’s evaporating rapidly. Now, people are used to, especially after the pandemic, they are used to watching films with subtitles. Sometimes even without subtitles because cinema has its own language.”

    Chowdhury has been nominated under the Performance In A Supporting Role (Male) Category for his role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
