    Jhansi Ki Rani Fame Ulka Gupta Shares Her Love For Vrindavan: ‘I Go There To Recharge My

    Talking about her recent trip to Vrindavan, Ulka Gupta called the holy place her ‘recharge centre.’

    Banni Chow Home Delivery famed Ulka Gupta often travels across the country for work commitments and leisure trips. The actress, who became a household name after being a part of television shows like Jhansi Ki Raani and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, recently made an impromptu stop in Vrindavan while coming back from Jaipur. Talking about her trip to Vrindavan, Ulka called the holy place her ‘recharge centre.’

    “Vrindavan is my recharge centre. And I go there to recharge my spiritual energy which helps me stay connected. It was a spontaneous visit once again, I was shooting in Jaipur for a film fest project, and soon after seeking the Darshan of Jaipur’s Isht Dev Beloved Govind Dev ji, Gopinathji, Laadlji, we left for Khatushyam ji, Saalasar Balaji and ultimately a long 5-hour drive to Vrindavan and Barsana. I was happy that my Co-actors joined me too. I believe they were also called by Thakurji and I was just the catalyst,” the actress told the Free Press Journal.

    “Our Darshan started with a Mangala Aarti and onto the darshans, Sattvic Bhojan, Prasad and Love for Radha Krishna,” she added. When asked about her next travel destination, Ulka said, “Now, I am planning to visit my long-due favourite Kashi, Banaras, Ayodhya and Prayagraj.”

    Ulka Gupta made her acting debut as a child artist in the 2009 television series Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar. The actress rose to fame with her stint in Jhansi Ki Rani, in which she played the younger version of the lead character. Then, Ulka forayed into the South industry and made an appearance in films like Andhra Pori and Rudhramadevi. The actress was last seen in Zee TV’s Main Hoon Sath Tere opposite Karan Vohra.

    Talking about her reason behind taking up the project, Ulka Gupta told Hindustan Times, “I was offered two web series including a Telugu along with a Marathi film with a pivotal role. It was at the same time a Hindi TV daily, Main Hoon Saath Tere, came my way. Initially, I was indecisive but then I remembered that a popular actor once said, ‘It’s not about what work we take up but it’s about what we let go of.’ As, I am here because of Hindi TV, and it remains to be my favourite so I resumed full-time work with television.”
