Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Rajasthan’s Nareshi Meena Becomes First Contestant To Attempt Rs 1

The latest season of Kaun Banega Crorepati debuted on August 12 and has retained its popularity by giving a chance to diverse participants all around the country. The show is hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, who is often seen interacting candidly with contestants about their life and struggles. The makers recently released a promo, showing a glimpse into the struggles of Nareshi Meena as she suffers from a brain tumour. The highlight, however, was that she will be the first contestant this season to attempt the Rs 1 crore question.

Nareshi Meena, who hails from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, has been bravely battling a brain tumour and decided to participate in KBC to earn money for her treatment. In a new promotional video posted on the official Instagram account, Nareshi discusses her experience, saying, “Mujhe brain tumour hua sir, Khud ko yahi batati hu ki koi tension nahi hai tujhe koi bimari nahi hai (I am suffering from brain tumour, but I keep telling myself that there’s no need to worry; you don’t have any illness).”

The host is then seen asking her, “Aapne ye thaan liya hai ki ye dhanrashi yahan se jeet kar jaaungi toh iska ilaaj ho sakta hai (You have decided that if you win this prize money, your treatment can be done).” Later, the scene turns serious as Amitabh Bachchan prepares to ask the big question for Rs 1 crore.

In an interview with Times Now, the participant revealed that she chose to compete in Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 and skipped her RAS exam. She stated, “RAS main ka exam maine miss kar diya. July 20 and 21 ko mera RAS main ka exam tha. Mera Jaipur mein centre aaya tha. Woh exam 2 din hote hain, kyunki woh likhna hota hai. 4 paper hote hain. Toh mujhe laga ki, ek din pehle jaana padhta phir aane jaane mein 3-4 din lag jate. Toh maine socha ki iss baar KBC ko dete hain apna pura time. Toh maine apna RAS main chhod diya (I missed my RAS exam which was on July 20 and 21. My centre was in Jaipur and it would take about 3-4 day to go and comeback. Hence, i decided to give KBC a chance this time).”

The episode with Nareshi Meena is said to be premiered on August 21 at 9 pm.
