Iranian nuclear talks advisor Mohammad Marandi warned US that its bases in the Persian Gulf would be destroyed if it participates in an attack on Iran. “The smart thing for the Americans to do is to be very careful about what they do,” Marandi told TRT World. He said that no one in the region except for Netanyahu and the people around him want an escalation and could mean the end of the global economy. Marandi also criticised the US for not preventing the Israeli regime from carrying out “atrocities.” “Whatever the Israeli regime does, the regime in Washington will protect it, regimes in Europe will protect it,” he said.
