Shark Tank India has quickly become one of the most popular shows, and with the fourth season launching next month, the judges have become stars. At a recent press conference for the business reality show, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and fun moments. While the sharks discussed business, they also shared their personal memories and what they expect from the upcoming season. During one segment, Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, was asked to compare her fellow judges with Bollywood stars. Namita, seems like she was prepared, as she compared them to iconic actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Irrfan Khan and Jackie Shroff.
Namita began by saying that Aman Gupta was the easiest to compare and called him Shah Rukh Khan. She mentioned Aman often plays Shah Rukh’s songs, dances and talks about him. Looking at Azhar Iqubal, Namita said, “This is a tough one,” but she chose Irrfan Khan because of his unique style and intensity. She then compared Ritesh Agarwal with Alok Nath, saying, “He stays so happy and so sweet.” Talking about Anupam Mittal, Namita said, “He is the evergreen hero of our show, like the ‘elderly,’ Jackie Da (Jackie Shroff). The only thing missing is a flower pot.” Anupam reciting a dialogue from Pushpa 2 added, “I am not a flower, I am a wildfire.”
Talking about herself, Namita said, “I am Basanti. Everybody knows Basanti.” Pointing towards Viraj Bahl, she said, “I don’t know him, so I’ll have to wait to give him a name.” Moving forward, talking to Snapdeal co-founder, she stated, “Kunal, who are you? Solid stuff.” Someone in the background jokingly added, “Viraj sir could be a star kid, about to be launched,” which left everyone laughing.
Shark Tank India Season 4 features a unique lineup of entrepreneurs, including Anupam Mittal, the founder and CEO of People Group, Aman Gupta, co-founder of boat, Ritesh Agarwal, the founder and Group CEO of OYO, Peyush Bansal, co-founder and CEO of Lenskart and Vineeta Singh, co-founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics, are also part of the panel.
