Jin explained that while all the BTS members look very close, they are not friends but simply partners who work together.
BTS’ star singer Jin recently became the first BTS member to be discharged from the military and since then, he has been reconnecting with fans in various ways. Amid this, the South Korean singer appeared on a Japanese talk show, where he shared details about his album, Happy and his strong bond with other group members. During the interview, Jin spoke about the importance of maintaining professionalism and respect within the group. He explained that while they may look very close, they are not friends but simply partners who work together. Jin highlighted that even if they come across difficult situations among each other, it’s crucial to maintain a professional attitude and set aside personal feelings for their shared goals.
Speaking with Japanese singer, actor and television personality Masaki Aiba in Since Those Days, Jin said, “I think to be respectful, we need to recognise that we’re not friends, we’re partners who work together. Among friends, when you get mad at each other, sometimes you won’t help each other because you are mad. But here it’s that kind of concept. Basically, we’re working together, so I think the most important thing is to have an attitude that even if there’s a situation where our feelings get hurt, we still have to work together professionally.”
Jin, who cares deeply for BTS fans, or ARMY, released his new album Happy last month. Discussing the album, he explained that while he wants to be happy, finding happiness isn’t always easy for him. He shared that he feels joy when he can make others happy or bring smiles to their faces. For Jin, his true happiness comes from seeing his fans smile. His goal is to bring happiness to his fans and according to the singer, he’ll find his own happiness, which is also his dream.
After getting discharged from the military, Jin wasted no time to reconnect with his fans. He held a meet and greet, collaborated with luxury brands and even became a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The K-pop idol also made appearances on various shows and released his first solo album, Happy. On the other hand, Jin also made his solo debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he had previously appeared with his BTS members.
