Krushna Abhishek and Govinda brought their 7-year-old rift to an end after reuniting on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Govinda’s recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show was full of entertainment, emotions and humour running high throughout the episode. This also marked the much-awaited reunion of the veteran actor with his nephew Krushna Abhishek seven years after they had a major fallout. Putting an end to their strained relationship, Govinda and Krushna caught up on the Netflix show, reflecting on their fight, families, and many more unspoken matters. During the conversation, the comedian even enquired about his aunt Sunita Ahuja’s absence from the show, prompting Kapil Sharma to pull his leg with an epic response.
As Govinda and Krushna got into an interesting conversation, the latter asked about the actor’s favourite pairing with an actress, Govinda mentioned his “jodi” with Sunita Ahuja as the best. In a playful reply, Krushna, while pointing towards Chunky Panday, asked, “Toh unko yaha par le aate, inko kyu takleef diya? (You should have brought her here, why bother him?)”
Instantly picking up on his lines, Kapil joked that Krushna would not have been here if she had come on the episode, leaving everyone in splits.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Govinda also opened up about what led to the rift between the families, revealing that he was upset with one of Krushna’s jokes, finding it disrespectful. He also emphasised how his wife Sunita had always supported Krushna’s career despite the misunderstandings between them. Recalling the time when he was angry with the comedian after hearing some of his dialogues, Govinda said, “My wife told me that the whole industry works like that. Don’t say anything to Krushna. He is making money so let him work. Don’t block anyone or stop them.”
Further, he went on to ask the comedian to apologise to Sunita, mentioning that she loves him a lot. To this, Krushna added, “I love her too. If there are any such feelings, I’m really sorry but I love her very much.”
For those unaware, Govinda and Krushna had a fallout around 2016 after the actor was upset by his nephew’s joke on a comedy show. Things further escalated after Krushna’s wife Kashmera Shah had a public exchange with Sunita, deepening the tensions between them. Over the years, while the families remained quite distanced, Govinda took a leap by attending the wedding of Krushna Abhishek’s sister, Arti Singh, hinting at the end of a feud between them.
