Zoya Akhtar left the Internet surprised as pictures of her with Jacob Elordi and Andrew Garfield began making the rounds online.

Pictures of filmmaker Zoya Akhtar sitting with actors Jacob Elordi and Andrew Garfield at the Marrakech International Film Festival have taken the Internet by surprise. The festival, currently being held in Morocco, became the centre of attention as these images began circulating online. In the photos, Zoya is seen sitting on a sofa, looking chic in a printed black outfit. On either side of her, Andrew and Jacob looked dashing in their crisp suits.

For the event, the Spiderman star wore a green shirt paired with a blazer and black pants. Jacob Elordi, who gained fame with Euphoria, chose a classic white shirt with a black blazer and trousers. The actors were also seen posing with other members of the festival’s jury. These moments quickly caught the eyes of fans on X (formerly Twitter).

One user commented, “Oh to be sitting between Andrew Garfield and Jacob Elordi just like Zoya Akhtar is sitting between them at the Marrakech International Film Festival.”

The jury of the 21st edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival is led by the renowned filmmaker Luca Guadagnino. Other members of the jury include Ali Abbasi, Patricia Arquette, Virginie Efira, Nadia Kounda and Santiago Mitre. Known as one of the largest film festivals in the Middle East and North Africa, the event began on November 29 and will run until December 9.

Meanwhile, Zoya is currently collaborating with Reema Kagti on a docu-series titled In Transit. According to a report by Variety, the nine-part series is being developed under their production house, Tiger Baby, in partnership with Amazon Studios. The project sheds light on transgender stories from India.

Sharing the details about the series, Zoya said, “There’s a trans community, and nobody really talks about that community, the people that identify as trans from heartland India. Where are they coming from? What are their lives? How are they dealing? What are they going through, and what’s their experience?”
