Bryan Adams is once again coming to India for his So Happy It Hurts Tour 2024. He will kick off his tour on December 8 in Kolkata, followed by shows in Shillong, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bangalore, among other cities. The upcoming visit would mark the Canadian musician’s eighth visit to the country, and he is really looking forward to making some new memories.

Recently, Bryan sat for an interview with India Today Digital and reminisced about some fond memories of his previous visits to India, along with discussions on his music and expectations.

When asked about his “fondest memory” of performing in India, the 65-year-old singer instantly mentioned his meeting with the global icon Priyanka Chopra and the Kapoor family. He said, “Meeting Priyanka Chopra and the Kapoor family backstage is a standout memory. We had a wonderful conversation about music and life.”

Bryan also revealed that savouring a hearty Indian meal was one of the highlights of his previous visits. “And yes, I did indulge in Indian food – I absolutely love daal!” he added.

In the same conversation, Bryan was asked about his wish to work with Indian artists and what excites him about it. While talking about his fascinating conversation with Punjabi musicians, the Canadian singer said, “I’ve had fascinating conversations with Punjabi rappers and admire Pritam’s work.” He continued, “The idea of blending rock with Indian music excites me – it’s a fusion that has immense potential.”

Speaking about his So Happy It Hurts Tour, the 65-year-old singer shared that they have tailored the setlist “to match the energy of each city, making every performance fresh and aligning it with the audience’s vibe.” Bryan also spoke about the changing landscape of the Indian concert scene, highlighting the incredible growth, a more diverse audience, and an enthusiastic crowd.

Furthermore, when asked about the changes he has seen in his creative process, Bryan said, “My creative process has become more intuitive and spontaneous over the years. It’s less about planning and more about feeling and capturing the right moment.”

In July, Bryan shared a post on his Instagram account announcing the India leg of his tour. Along with a video, the Canadian singer shared a note, which read, “Namaste India! I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be coming back to India with my “So Happy It Hurts” tour in December 2024. Get ready for a rockin’ concert.”

Fans of the singer can expect Bryan’s performances on his hit songs like Summer of ’69, Please Forgive Me, and Everything I Do (I Do It for You), along with a bunch of his new songs.
