Aditi Sharma, who is known for shows like Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka! And Rabb Se Hai Dua, is all set to be back on the TV screens with a brand new show. The actress is poised to display her acting abilities in the upcoming Colors TV drama, Apollena. Aditi will play the lead role of a young girl who aspires to be an astronaut but has to face several challenges in her way. The show also stars Sandeep Baswana, who will play Aditi’s father. In her recent interview, Aditi Sharma opened up about her bond with the actor as well as her preparation for the challenging role.
Speaking about her relationship with Sandeep Baswana, her on-screen father, Aditi Sharma told Pinkvilla, “He is a great friend, so fun to talk to. He has so much to share—his life experiences, acting experiences and so much. The way he says it makes you understand. We have just started shooting so we are just building that connection. We do feel the connection, the father-daughter bond is there. He keeps teaching me lessons and he is very sweet.”
She further talked about the rigorous preparation she undertook for the show. Aditi mentioned how staying fit was very important since becoming an astronaut requires physical fitness. She made sure that running did not leave her out of breath. She noted, “I was working on my running skills, and workout and everything was top-notch.”
During the interview, Aditi added that they talked to an ISRO scientist. The creatives and writers have been in contact and are constantly telling her what is required in the screenplay, so she gets this knowledge from them.
Apollena’s story concentrates around her brave journey to clear her father Girdhar’s (played by Sandeep Baswana) damaged character while dealing with the stigma of ‘gaddar ki beti (daughter of a traitor)’. Apollena’s purpose is more than just to rise above the blame, she wants to rise above where no shadows from her past can dull her light. Apollena premieres on December 3 and airs every day at 6 pm.
Aditi Sharma was last seen as a participant on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and has also been part of the web series Crashh.
