Ayush Badoni produced a diving effort to pull off a sensational catch during the ongoing Emerging Asia Cup tournament.
India A came up with a dominant show to secure a convincing seven-wicket win against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024. Chasing a target of 108, India A comfortably scored the winning runs with 55 balls to spare.
Apart from India A’s clinical performance, there was one particular moment that caught the eye – an acrobatic catch taken by Ayush Badoni.
UAE’s Muhammad Jawadullah played an aerial shot a shot towards the long-on region off the last delivery of the 15th over, bowled by Ramandeep Singh.
Badoni turned the flight mode on and dived towards his right to complete a sensational catch to end Jawadullah’s innings on 1.

Batting first, UAE could only manage to post a total of 107 runs. Thanks to Rahul Chopra’s vital knock of 50 runs off as many deliveries, UAE succeeded in breaching the three-digit total.
Rasikh Salam was India A’s best performer with the ball against UAE as he picked up three wickets. Ramandeep also chipped in with two wickets.
India A, during the run chase, did not face much trouble as they hunted the target in 10.5 overs. Abhishek Sharma played a fine knock of 58 off 24 balls to guide India A to a resounding victory.
India A skipper Tilak Varma was also looked in good touch as he scored 21 runs off 18 deliveries. Badoni remained unbeaten on 12 off nine balls that included a four and a six.
This was India A’s second win of the competition. Earlier they got the better of their arch-rivals Pakistan A by seven runs. India A will next face Oman today.
