Elvish Yadav has been roped in as a gang leader in the upcoming season of MTV Roadies

MTV Roadies is returning for its 20th season, and after a three-year hiatus, Rannvijay Singha will return as the host of the adventure-based reality show. While YouTuber Elvish Yadav joins the lineup as a new gang leader, he will be alongside other established leaders Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula and Rhea Chakraborty.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, shared his excitement about his upcoming stint on Roadies. When asked if he was ready to take on another Bigg Boss winner, Prince Narula, after his victory over Bigg Boss 17 champion Munawar Faruqui in the Entertainers Cricket League (ECL), Elvish said, “Dekho ye sawaal mel nahi khata par iska answer hai yes (Look, this question doesn’t apply to me, but the answer is yes).” He added, “I’ve started preparing for the show and started with swimming and going to the gym as the gang leaders also need to perform tasks.”

Further, the YouTuber expressed his excitement about joining the show as one of the gang leaders and added, “I am very excited. It is the first time for me as I’m the new gang leader. Rest all of them are experienced and my vibe is great with all of them. I hope I’ll have a great time with them.”

In the ECL, Elvish Yadav’s team, Haryanvi Hunters, defeated the Lucknow Lions in the finals. Before that, in the qualifiers, Elvish’s team beat Mumbai Disruptors, which included Munawar, to reach the finals.

A few days ago, Rannvijay Singha announced on Instagram that Elvish would be joining them in the upcoming season of the reality TV show. He uploaded a series of pictures with the YouTuber and wrote, “Welcome to #roadiesxx @elvish_yadav! You might be new to #roadies, but challenges toh tum roz paar karte ho (You overcome challenges every day)! With you in the mix, expect the unexpected. Best of luck for this new journey!”

Rannvijay’s return to the show after a three-year hiatus has sparked considerable excitement among fans for the upcoming season. The VJ-turned-actor has been a staple of Roadies since its inception, starting his journey by lifting the trophy in the very first season and serving as its host until 2021. In a recent statement, the 41-year-old expressed his enthusiasm about rejoining the reality show and reconnecting with its dedicated audience.

“Roadies isn’t just a show, it’s an emotion for me, it’s my comfort zone, I’m home. For two decades, it’s been fuelled by the relentless passion, grit and dreams of millions. It’s more than just a platform; it’s a rite of passage for an entire generation,” he said.

Rannvijay added, “Personally, it’s a symbol of everything the youth of this country stands for — courage, ambition and resilience. I’m grateful that I have been part of this extraordinary legacy. As we embark on this new chapter with Roadies Double Cross, I can’t wait to feel that unmatched adrenaline again alongside the dreamers who live for this journey.”
