Shift in Focus to T20Is
Now the focus will shift to the T20I side where India and Bangladesh will go up against each other in a three-match affair which begins on October 6 at Gwalior.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have already announced the 15-man squad for the upcoming games where Suryakumar Yadav reprises his role as the skipper of the side.
The notable aspects of the squad include that of several uncapped stars being picked for the three-match affair. This includes the likes of Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana and Mayank Yadav.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, an all-rounder who played in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, had an impressive stint with the franchise where he displayed his all-round abilities and is tipped to be the next big pace-bowling all-rounder since Hardik Pandya.
Harshit Rana, was part of the title-winning Kolkata Knight Riders squad where he had a stellar show with the ball, picking up 13 wickets to become the joint-fourth-highest wicket-taker in the season.
Mayank Yadav had a brief stint in IPL 2024 playing for the Lucknow Super Giants. He dazzled the crowds with his stellar pace which hit the 150kph marks at regular intervals. However, he was injured for most of the season due to injuries and now is back in action after his recovery at the National Cricket Academy.
