Designed by renowned Brazilian artist Lalali Senna, the 1,670-foot tower has received environmental and government approvals and will be built at a cost of Rs 4700 crore
The world’s tallest residential tower will now be built in the Brazil’s Balneário Camboriú, which is known for its high-rise buildings. The 1,670 feet (509 meters) tall ‘Senna Tower’ is dedicated to Brazil’s great Formula One driver Ayrton Senna.
The skyscraper, designed by Senna’s niece and renowned Brazilian artist Lalali Senna, has already received environmental approvals and other government approvals. The tower will be constructed at a cost of around Rs 4,700 crore.
Currently, the Central Tower in New York’s Manhattan, is the world’s tallest residential skyscraper. Its height is 472.4 meters. The Senna Tower will be 36.6 meters higher than the Central Tower.
Ayrton Senna is considered to be one of the greatest legends in motorsport history. Senna won three Formula One world championships with McLaren. He was known for driving on wet and tight circuits such as Monaco. Senna died in a race accident in 1994.
Lalali Senna said that she has tried to make the Sena Tower a symbol of his uncle’s “heroic journey” which symbolizes his unique journey from the physical to the spiritual world. The glittering glass skyscraper will have lights running to its top, turning it into the brightest landmark in the city at night.
