Israeli military has deployed tanks in the north amid heightened tensions along its border with Lebanon, the IDF said. The move comes as both Israeli military and Hezbollah continue to exchange fire across the UN designated ‘Blue Line’ that separates Israel and Lebanon.On September 27, 10 rockets were fired from Lebanon at Haifa, setting off sirens in the northern coastal city and suburbs, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said. Some of the rockets were intercepted, while others struck open areas, and reports said at least one rocket landed in the sea next to Haifa. Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State said an Israeli escalation against Hezbollah will only make it more difficult to return evacuated Israelis to their homes.
