Harry Brook’s English team will face Mitchell Marsh’s Australia in the third ODI of the ongoing five-match series on Tuesday at Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street.
After losing the first two ODIs in Nottingham and Leeds by 7 wickets and 68 runs, respectively, England would like to get the better of Australia in the third ODI of the ongoing five-match series between the two teams on Tuesday (September 24). The must-win match for the hosts is scheduled to take place at Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street and will start at 5:00 p.m. IST.
In the absence of Jos Buttler, Harry Brook is leading the 2019 ODI World Cup winners in the home series, and in his maiden assignment as captain, England failed to defend the total of 315 runs in the series opener and chase down the target of 271 runs in the second. The hosts can’t afford to lose the match on Tuesday because if Mitchell Marsh & Co. win their third game in a row, then it will seal the series.
England will expect a big show from Will Jacks and Liam Livingstone in the do-or-die match after both of them got out for a golden duck in the second ODI. As for Australians, all eyes will once again be on Travis Head, who has been in red-hot form these days.
