Pitru Paksha, dedicated to honouring the deceased ancestors, started on September 17. It is generally observed for 15-16 days from Bhadrapada Purnima to Kartik Amavasya. During Pitru Paksha, you should worship Peepal and Banyan trees. It is said that every person is indebted to nature and when you worship trees, you are repaying the debt of nature.

Charity

During Pitru Paksha, you can make kheer for the peace of planets, remember to add saffron to it and then donate it. By doing this, Pitra Dosha in your horoscope is removed. Apart from this, keep water with black sesame in the south direction.

Perform Shraddha on these dates

If your ancestors died on Panchami Tithi, then you should perform their Shraddha on Panchami.

Performing Shraddha on Navami Tithi is considered to be the Shraddha of all types of dead women.

If a person dies an untimely death, then you should perform Shraddha on Chaturdashi Tithi.

If you do not know the date of death of your ancestors, then you can perform their Shraddha on Amavasya.
