The Russian military has hit a ship that was transporting Western-made munitions to Ukraine, claimed the defence ministry in Moscow on Sept. 21. The Russian defence ministry, however, did not say how badly the ship was damaged or where the attack took place.In a statement on Sept. 21, the ministry claimed that Russian warplanes, drones, missiles, and artillery forces destroyed two Ukrainian ammo depots. Moscow’s forces also claimed to have “struck a dry-cargo carrier with missiles and ammunition, provided to the Kyiv regime by Western countries.”Meanwhile, leaders of Quad nations called for “a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace” in Ukraine in a joint statement. The statement was released following the Quad Leaders Summit in Wilmington on Sept. 21.
