Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that Moscow’s nuclear weapons are in “full combat readiness.” During an interview with Sky News Arabia, Lavrov, a close Putin ally, said that the conversations about when to press the “red button” are inappropriate.He added that Moscow doesn’t want any nuclear war and that its’ rhetoric about the use of nukes is “not serious.””I am convinced that in such situations, decision makers have an idea of what we are talking about,” Lavrov stressed. However, he added that Russia possesses weapons “that will have serious implications for the handlers of the Ukrainian regime.”
