    Team India were tested but came out on top by beating the hosts China to claim their fifth Asian Champions Trophy title.

    The India men’s hockey team beat China in a thrilling contest to win the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 thanks to the only goal scored by Jugraj Singh at the Moqi Training Base in China on Tuesday.

    The title would mark India’s fifth time winning the trophy, thus extending their record as the most successful side in the tournament. This user pointed this out and congratulated the team for their stellar achievement.

    The final was not as easy as many thought it would be with the Indian team struggling to get the breakthrough for most of the game. But the Indian defender, Jugraj Singh gave India the first and only goal which was scored in the 52st minute and eventually led the team to the title.

    Like many other fans of the Indian hockey team, this user also was equally elated to see the Harmanpreet Singh-led side, clinch the historic title which came through a thrilling contest against the hosts.

    This will be India’s fifth ACT title, as Harmanpreet Singh and co continue to deliver on the international stage.

    The Indian team have been dominant on all fronts throughout the tournament and has also completed the tournament as the only undefeated side.

    The hosts China were arguably the only side that proved to be a tough challenge for the title-winners. The home side was able to put in a fine performance throughout the game with some solid efforts on all fronts. Nonetheless, the Indian team managed to dig deep and give the side the victory.
