Archana Puran Singh Compares Sunil Grover To Jim Carrey, Says He Has ‘Pura Expressions’ –

Sunil Grover is known for his comic timing as well as acting abilities. His ability to seamlessly transition between humour and drama has garnered him a devoted fan base. Recently, the team of The Great Indian Kapil Show had a special interview with ETimes, and during the conversation, Archana Puran Singh and others not only praised Sunil Grover’s exceptional talent but also compared him to a famous Hollywood actor.

During the conversation with ETimes, Archana Puran Singh recalled the popular finale act in The Great Indian Kapil Show season 1 where Sunil Grover mimicked Salman Khan and Krushna Abhishek performed as Shah Rukh Khan. She stared, “His talent is like Jim Carrey. His facial mobility is like Jim Carrey. Pura expressions, haav bhaav hota hai.”

On the other hand, even Rajiv Thakur praised Sunil Grover and stated, “Whenever I meet Sunil bhai I always tell him how do you manage to pull off the mimicry of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan so effortlessly with this same face. Aisa face ban jaata that he perfectly looks like Shah Rukh Khan and even looks like Salman Khan while doing mimicry.”

Meanwhile, Netflix released the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show recently. The forthcoming season, like the previous edition, will feature appearances by several popular celebrities from the Indian film industry. Sharing the trailer on their official Instagram page, Netflix India noted, “When your favourite guests meet Kapil & gang, Shanivaar ka Funnyvaar banna pakka hai.” The team includes Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover and Rajiv Thakur.

The upcoming season’s guest list includes Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Jr NTR, Karan Johar, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Pandey, and cricketers Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav, and Arshdeep Singh. The show’s first season began in March of this year, with guests including Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Ed Sheeran and Vicky Kaushal, among others. The first season concluded in mid June and since then, fans have been anticipating its return. The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 will premiere on September 21 with episodes running every Saturday at 8 pm.
