One tiny ‘Dolo Mirch’ chili can spice up 40 kg of chicken and make you sweat if you consume it more or use it in cooking. The farmer said one chili is enough to cook 40 kgs of chicken. Even though this chili is small in size it is extremely spicy
A farmer from Karah village in Saran district of Bihar has grown a special variety of chilli known as ‘Dolo Mirch’. This chilli is extremely spicy, and only a small quantity is required for cooking.
Farmer Bunty Singh, who learned about advanced farming and received training from agricultural scientists in Shimla, bought a sapling of the chilli and planted it as a trial in his field. Singh prepared the seeds himself and planted them in his field.
He found that this special type of chilli plant bears fruit throughout the year. The ‘Dolo Mirch’ variety, originally found in Shimla, continues to thrive in Saran.
Talking to News18, Bunty Singh said that the most striking feature of this chilli is that it continues to fruit throughout the year and remains green and productive even in Saran’s soil. “From the beginning, I have been passionate about farming and gardening. Under the guidance of agricultural scientists in Shimla, I have undergone various training programs that have enabled me to farm in unique ways,” Singh said.
“When I went for training in Shimla, I learned about ‘Dolo Mirch’. This chili is small in size but very spicy. After that, I brought the seeds back and planted them in my field. After succeeding in the trial, I plan to mass produce it,” Singh added.
He also mentioned that only one chilli is required to cook 40kg of chicken, and it is used in much smaller quantities compared to normal chillies. Additionally, the market value of this chilli is very high, allowing farmers to earn good profits from its production.
