    5. The idol is then offered a bath followed by another bath with panchamrit (a mix of curd, milk, honey, ghee, and sugar).

    6. After the ritual, one can give a final bath with Gangajal and offer new clothes to Lord Ganesh.

    7. In the next steps, make offerings of akshata (unbroken rice), pushpa mala (flower garland), sindoor (vermilion), durva (grass), shami patra, dhoop (incense), and deep (lamp).

    8. Finally, one can begin the core sixteen-step puja rituals of Ganesh Chaturthi puja.

Devotees can also call a pandit to perform the rituals.

After completing the vidhi, offer prasad and other specialities like modak, laddoo, coconut, and fruits to everyone. Continue the puja every day in the morning and evening till visarjan.

On the final day, the idol is taken for immersion in a water body. Devotees bid farewell to Lord Ganesh, seeking blessings and wishing for his return next year.
