Mohamed Salah’s goal and two assists in last night’s romp against Manchester United led to the Egyptian breaking and setting new Premier League records against the Red Devils.

There is no questioning the goal-scoring prowess of Mohamed Salah. But, little would the Old Trafford faithful be happy to know of ‘The ‘Egyptian King’ of Liverpool’s recent exploits that led to history being made right at the heart of Old Trafford.

Salah’s goal last night against heated rivals United took the Egyptian’s tally against the Red Devils to 15 goals in 16 appearances against them.

If this wasn’t enough, Salah, who already boasts the proud tag of being the player with the most goals against the club in their entire history, he also has now scored seven goals in seven consecutive games against United, becoming the highest scoring visiting Premier League player at Old Trafford.

The accolades do not stop there. In fact, with his two assists and his goal last night, Salah now boasts a record of 18 G/A (Goals/Assists) against the Red Devils in the Premier League, the most of any player against United in PL history.

It also made the Egyptian the only visiting player to be directly involved in 3+ goals in the Premier League at Old Trafford on more than one occasion.

If you needed any more convincing about his unrelenting greatness, Salah holds the ridiculous record of being the fifth highest-scorer at Old Trafford since January 24, 2021 amongst all players (including United players themselves). Talk about a second home indeed.

Salah and his Liverpool teammates held nothing back throughout, completely outclassing United at Old Trafford, as they stomped the home side to an embarrassing 3-0 loss.

Colombian Luis Diaz opened the scoring with a header in the 35th minute, before doubling his tally with a calm and composed finish in the 42nd minute to gift his side a 2-0 lead by halftime.

Salah would then add the finishing touch with yet another classic first-touch finish, slotting in a beautiful pass from Dominik Szoboszlai, right into the bottom corner of Andre Onana’s goal to kill all hope amongst the United faithful.

A rudderless Manchester United failed to produce anything of substance throughout the encounter, with a dismal positional performance from Andre Onana in goal coupled with an even more disasatrous outing from Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who was directly involved in conceding the first two goals.

Facing their first real test of the Premier League season so far, Erik Ten Hag’s men crumbled when it mattered, as Arne Slot continues to enjoy his unbeaten start to his first PL season with Liverpool.
