Anuradha Roy, 27, now plans to participate in the Miss India World pageant in New York
Anuradha Roy, hailing from Assam, has won the inaugural title of Miss/Mrs India Poland 2024. The beauty pageant was organised by Rajvi Events and the India Poland Women’s Federation for Indians living in Poland. She has also received the Miss Photogenic title at the same ceremony held in Poland.
The 27-year-old triumphed over 400 contestants in the screening phase, with 16 advancing to the final round.
Anuradha Roy completed her secondary education at Khanapara Kendriya Vidyalaya in Guwahati and her Higher Secondary in Arts from Army Public School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Psychology from the University of Delhi and holds a Master’s Degree in Criminology.
While her ancestral home is in Shillong, she grew up in Guwahati. In 2021, Anuradha received a scholarship from the Polish government to pursue further studies. In Poland, she obtained another Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.
She is currently working as an executive in a private company in Poland and practises as a psychologist in her spare time. Roy was selected to participate in the Miss/Mrs India Poland 2024 contest after performing at a cultural program at the Indian Embassy.
Speaking to News18, Anuradha expressed her ambition, saying, “I will participate in the Miss India World pageant organised by Rajvi Events in New York in the future. I am hopeful that I will succeed there too.”
Beaming with pride, Anuradha’s father, Binit Roy, said the family is thrilled with Anuradha’s success. He noted that she has always been very interested in studying and dancing since childhood.
