Pakistan’s star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem came up with his first performance since clinching gold in the Paris Olympics 2024. Nadeem scripted history in Paris as he overcame Neeraj Chopra in the javelin throw event to end Pakistan’s long-standing Olympic medal drought. He did it with a record-breaking throw of 92.97 metres. Weeks after the jaw-dropping feat, a video has now been shared a video of the 27-year-old athlete throwing a javelin in his home country. Fans were excited to see Arshad Nadeem in action once again, albeit for entertainment purposes. The video began with the athlete taking up an advantageous stance before the throw. The 27-year-old was dressed in white with a green waistcoat on top. He then casually sent a javelin flying towards the end of the ground after the people around him counted down to zero. Nadeem’s throw was followed by a round of applause from the spectators, breaking a wide smile on the athlete’s face.

Arshad Nadeem’s latest javelin throw video was reportedly shot during his visit to the Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori’s residence earlier this week. A grand ceremony was reportedly held at the Governor’s house on Tuesday to honour Nadeem’s accomplishment in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Nadeem praised the 27-year-old athlete while also announcing a massive cash prize for Pakistan’s Under-15 football team that had managed to reach the Norway Cup final. “The Governor House will always remain open to athletes who bring pride to Pakistan,” he said during the ceremony, as per The Express Tribune.

Arshad Nadeem was also spotted at Azizabad during his visit to Karachi. News outlet Aaj TV Official shared a clip of Nadeem’s visit on YouTube. In the video, Governor Tessori was heard saying, “It is raining and Arshad Nadeem is also present here. And today after having Javed’s Nihari, Nadeem has proven himself to be a true Karachi man.” Nadeem also spoke about his experience of having the famous delicacy. “I’m very happy to try this Nihari. I follow a very ‘desi’ diet hence it was fun to try this Nihari,” he said.

Arshad Nadeem will be a part of the Diamond League this season. But he will not be playing against Neeraj Chopra in Lausanne after dropping out of the first leg of the season.
