    The Banke Bihari Temple in Rajendra Nagar, Bareilly, is abuzz with activity as it prepares for the grand celebration of Krishna Janmashtami. In the city of Bareilly, the Banke Bihari Temple becomes a hub for Krishna devotees during Janmashtami. Pilgrims travel from far and wide to seek the divine blessings of Lord Krishna.

    This year marks the 34th annual celebration at the temple, which will span 15 days, from Janmashtami to Radha Ashtami. During this period, the temple attracts millions of devotees eager to witness the divine festivities.

    According to local beliefs, Lord Krishna and Radha fulfill the wishes of all devoteess who visit the temple. Those unable to visit Mathura often turn to the Banke Bihari Temple in Bareilly. During this period, the temple anticipates an influx of devotees, with footfalls in lakhs.

    Speaking to News18, Mahant Ram Awadh Mishra of the Banke Bihari Temple shared an anecdote highlighting the temple’s spiritual significance. He recounted a story of a family from Varanasi, who despite never having visited the temple before, now make it an annual tradition to seek Lord Krishna’s blessings at Banke Bihari.

    Such is the temple’s deep spiritual significance that it draws devotees from diverse regions.

    “This year’s Janmashtami will be celebrated with exceptional fervour, marking the 34th annual festival at the temple. The celebrations extend from Krishna Janmashtami to Radha Ashtami. The festivities will not only honour Lord Krishna’s birth but also celebrate the enduring bond between Radha and Krishna. This is of immense significance for the followers,” Mahant Ram Awadh Mishra added.

    Devotees visiting the temple say that they travel from distant locations to pay their respects to Lord Krishna. A visit to Banke Bihari Temple during Janmashtami with genuine devotion is believed to ensure the fulfillment of devotees’ wishes.
