Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 has been making headlines since its premiere last month. In the first week itself, a major showdown between Rohit Shetty and contestants Azim Riaz became the talk of the town. It was followed by a verbal altercation between Asim and Abhishek Kumar. The massive disagreement with Asim Riaz led to his removal from the show. Since then, many celebrities have come out to slam him for his behaviour. Most recently, Imlie fame Sumbul Touqeer commented on the controversy and shared that this was “uncalled for.”
Speaking to Buzzzooka TV on the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 controversy, Sumbul Touqeer stated, “These guys have turned Khatron Ke Khiladi into Bigg Boss, and that makes no sense to me. Why even have two different shows then? Just put some stunts and this drama in Khatron Ke Khiladi, and you don’t need two shows then. I felt this was very uncalled for, and also very unnecessary because this show is for stunts.”
In the second episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 contestants Asim, Aashish Mehrotra and Niyati Fatnani were required to gather flags from a seesaw as part of a stunt. Only the best performers would be protected from elimination. Aashish and Niyati finished it successfully, but Asim failed. But he claimed that the task was impossible and challenged the team to perform it in front of him. Following this, host Rohit Shetty showed him rehearsal videos. But this led to an argument between Rohit and Asim, where the former warned him to behave well. Abhishek Kumar also got involved in the fight as he tried to intervene and stop Asim.
Meanwhile, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 contestants include other prominent names like Shalin Bhanot, Krishna Shroff, Gashmeer Mahajani, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Sumona Chakravarti and others. On being asked about Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia’s performance, she reportedly said, “I will only say that Nimrit is such a strong woman. I love her with all my heart and I have been missing her for a long time. It has been a while since I have seen her. In fact, I am watching KKK for her as and when I get the time.”
On the work front, Sumbul Touqeer is currently seen in Kavya Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon with Mishkat Varma.
