While D’Angelo Russell certainly meant no disrespect to Stephen Curry, his humble brag didn’t quite go down well with basketball fans.

Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell joined an interesting discussion to make a case for himself. Recently, the world watched Stephen Curry make history in the 2024 Olympics as he spearheaded the US men’s basketball team to a fifth straight gold medal at the Summer Games.

Following the victory, one of Russell’s fans made a tall claim for player and stated that the Los Angeles Lakers point guard also produces performances similar to Curry’s, from time to time.

“You guys realize DLo gets hot like Curry did yesterday? Or should we just ignore facts?” the fan asked. The claim also sparked a reaction from Russell who, in a now-deleted post said, “I humbly agree.”

While D’Angelo Russell certainly meant no disrespect to Stephen Curry, his humble brag didn’t quite go down well with basketball fans. Many reacted in the comments section as one social media user said, “The most delusional man in the NBA.”

Stephen Curry enjoyed a brilliant form at the 2024 Paris Olympics, taking his game up a notch in the playoff stage. Playing against Serbia in the semi-finals, Curry scored nine three-pointers in 14 attempts to finish the match with 36 points. He continued his momentum in the final, racking up eight three-pointers in 13 attempts against France. He finished the final with 24 points.
