A video of Sergio Aguero conceding the Lionel Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo banter to a bodyguard has elated fans on the internet. The ex-footballer often participates in hilarious fan banters where Messi is compared with Ronaldo. While Aguero has always been clear on his preference between the two, he was unable to change a bodyguard’s opinion on the subject.
A clip of their chucklesome conversation was shared by a fan page on X (formerly Twitter). The video begins with Aguero asking the bodyguard, “Who do you prefer, Messi or Ronaldo?” The buffed-up individual quickly replied, “I like Ronaldo.”
Aguero to the bodyguard:“Who do you prefer, Ronaldo or Messi?”
Bodyguard: “I like Ronaldo”
Aguero: “What?”
Bodyguard: “I watched Ronaldo before I even knew who Messi was.”

Sergio Aguero looked a little surprised by the bodyguard’s reply as he stared at him and said, “What?” The bodyguard then added that he had watched Cristiano Ronaldo way before hearing about Lionel Messi. “I watched Ronaldo before I even knew who Messi was,” he said. Meanwhile, other individuals surrounding the ex-Barcelona star jokingly added that Aguero could not even say anything to the bodyguard due to his massive size. “And you can say nothing to him, right? You can complain. You can complain,” they said. Aguero seemed to take the joke lightly as he patted the man’s muscles and said, “Ronaldo! Ronaldo!”
Apart from being one of Lionel Messi’s closest friends, Sergio Aguero is also a massive fan of his ex-teammate. The retired Argentine has publicly defended and supported Messi on several occasions. Aguero retired from professional football midway through the 2021-22 season. The primary reason behind the unexpected departure was his severe heart condition.
Despite an early retirement, Aguero wrapped up his career as one of the most prolific goalscorers of the generation. He retired with 426 goals for club and country. Aguero left Manchester City as the all-time leading scorer of the Premier League giants having netted 260 goals.
