Air India extends suspension of flights to Tel Aviv amid escalating Middle East tensions, offering full refunds and prioritizing passenger safety, says airline
Air India announced Friday it is extending the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel, due to the escalating situation in the Middle East. The airline said the suspension will remain in effect until further notice.
“In light of the current situation in parts of the Middle East, we have suspended our flights to and from Tel Aviv with immediate effect,” Air India said in a statement posted on X. The airline added that it is closely monitoring the situation and prioritizing the safety of its passengers and crew.

Passengers with confirmed bookings to or from Tel Aviv will receive a full refund, Air India noted. Earlier, Air India initially canceled flights to and from Israel through August 8.
The extension comes amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran, particularly following the killing of a top Hamas leader in Tehran on July 31. Iran has blamed Israel for the attack and vowed strong response.
