The treat, sought after by devotees during the Kanwar Yatra heading to Jhakhand’s Deoghar, is prepared exclusively for this occasion. The jalebi can be found on Kachhi Kanwaria Path in Munger.

Available exclusively at a few select hotels, this jalebi is entirely vegetarian and fruit-based. Specifically crafted for the Kanwariyas journeying to Baba Dham, it offers a worry-free fruit diet option.

    Unlike traditional jalebi made with flour or pulses, this version incorporates a mixture of mashed potato and banana. The concoction is mixed with milk, filtered, and then dipped in hot sugar syrup, creating a sweet and fruity delight. Once you try this distinctive potato-banana jalebi, you’ll likely become a devoted fan. This special treat is so eagerly anticipated that people wait a whole year for the opportunity to enjoy it.

    According to a local shopkeeper, the process begins with grinding bananas and potatoes, mixing in milk, and then straining the mixture. The resulting blend is dipped in syrup and served to the Kanwariyas. This special jalebi is available only during the two months of Sawan and Bhado.
