He posted on his official handle on X where he stated that he was honoured to have taken part in the quadrennial event but was also heartbroken that he could not bring home a medal.

Sen’s campaign was certainly not an easy one. He had to go up against his fellow compatriot in HS Prannoy in the Round of 16 match. But Sen put up a dominant win with a straight-set victory to make his way into the quarter-finals.
He was then up against Taiwan’s 12-seed, Chou Tien-chen but the Indian shuttler put up a fine performance from his end after conceding the first set to make his way forward to the next stage.
The luck of the draw was certainly not on his side as he was up against the defending champion Viktor Axelsen who proved to be too hot to handle as Sen crumbled in a straight-set defeat to make his way onto a bronze-medal match.
Disappointment was certainly in the air as the Indian badminton contingent went home without a single medal and many questions arose on whether there needed to be changes made due to the underperformance of all the players.
Sen had certainly put up a good fight against Axelsen in the first set where he took the game deep but did not come through in the end while the champion went on to show his class in the second set to take the game. The Danish international also went on to take home the gold as well.
